Faculty of metaphysics Le Monde Nouveau helps the individual to ascertain the spiritual domain, which requires one to participate in that reality as, oppose to either reading or thinking about it. One must become an explorer not merely a scholar. All the great adepts of mysticism have taught that discovering the spiritual domain requires us to move beyond our ordinary consciousness (thinking, feeling, worrying, planning etc).
In our ordinary state of consciousness we exist on the material or physical plane interested only in our own thoughts feelings and self. One cannot possibly experience the spiritual domain through sensing or thinking.
Thus it is there fore essential that one can have some understanding of the transitional plane of being: the metaphysical or theoretical dimension. We develop an understanding of this plane through the use of our reason or intellect, our intellective imagination – higher mind of comprehension.
The great teachers Hermes, Pythagoras, Socrates and Plato taught how to activate ourreason or intellect, through what Plato refers to in the ‘Phaedo’ the practice of dying.
Metaphysics - understood as the most general and abstract inquiry into the nature of reality.
Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy investigating the fundamental nature of being and the world that encompasses it.
Metaphysics attempts to answer two basic questions:
Topics of metaphysical investigation include existence, objects and their properties, space and time, cause and effect and possibility. . A central branch of metaphysics is ontology , the investigation into the basic categories of being and how they relate to one other.
There are two broad conceptions about what "world" is studied by metaphysics. The strong, first assumes that the objects studied by metaphysics exist independently of any observer, so that the subject is the most fundamental of all sciences. The weaker, second assumes that the objects studied by metaphysics exist inside the mind of an observer, so the subject becomes a form of introspection and conceptual analysis. Some philosophers, notably Kant, discuss both of these "worlds" and what can be inferred about each one.
Another central branch is metaphysical cosmology: which seeks to understand the origin and meaning of the universe by thought alone.
Some philosophers and scientists, such as the logical positivists , reject the entire subject of metaphysics as meaningless, while others disagree and think that it is legitimate.
